ABSTRACT
Inspired by the spirituality and legacy of St. John Baptist De La Salle, Lasallians are invited to connect with their personal experience of God who is providentially working for the salvation of humankind. Lasallian Spirituality and mission is deeply rooted in the spiritual experience of the Founder. This study attempted to understand how Signum Fidei members live out the Lasallian mission and spirituality. This is a phenomenological study which examined the lived experiences of five (5) participants who were chosen from different Lasallian schools in the Philippines – DLSU – Dasmarinas, DLS – Health and Science Institute, DLS – Zobel, De La Salle Greenhills, and DLS – Lipa. The study determined the first thematic reflections as fruits of significant stories, experiences, thoughts, description. Five (5) thematic reflections emerged from individual structural descriptions: Responding to the Call of Communion and Service; A Faith that should be nurtured and shared; A Gifted to Give; Walking extra miles; and A living and Sustaining Commitment. An eidetic insight revealed that “Upholding the Lasallian Spirituality and Mission is both a Vocation and a Commitment.” A symbolic representation was drawn to serve as a creative synthesis. Signum Fidei members live out their Lasallian vocation as they become living witnesses of how one’s faith moved them to work with zeal in their Lasallian Ministry believing that they are one in mind and heart in the fulfillment of Lasallian Ministry.

ABSTRACT
Values Education or Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao as part of the curriculum aims for the formation of values of learners. Strategies and methodologies in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao become a concern of teachers in this time of New Normal Education. This study focused on SELFCARE (Self-Directed Learning, Feedbacking and Critical Reflection) teaching strategies in improving ESP performance of Grade 8 students of Imus National High School. The study employed a quasi-experimental design. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent samples t-test, and paired sample t-test were used to compare the effectiveness of SELFCARE teaching strategies. The study revealed that SELFCARE can help both online and modular students learn ESP better. Conversely, online learners showed a greater increase in their average scores compared to modular learners. The study recommended that SELFCARE strategies be used to improve ESP performance of the students.

ABSTRACT
The study investigated the perception of 255 Chinese students on the Values Education (VE) program or the Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP) curriculum of Chinese schools in the Philippines. Mixed method approach was used through qualitative and quantitative research techniques, and the collected data were analyzed and interpreted using statistical tools and statistical program for social sciences software. The study showed that majority of Chinese students excellently learned from their learning performance of the Philippine VE required in the EsP Curriculum Guide. However, some items such as patriotism, values related to different jobs, and fostering values through activities and some concepts of VE were significantly lower than average learning level, and some Chinese students also had different views on the relevance of personal influences, school education, family environment, and society to VE program. Thus, this study recommends an enriched VE program for Chinese schools in the Philippines, both elementary and secondary, where Chinese ideology, systems, and practice are mainly incorporated.

ABSTRACT
This action research sought to determine the effectiveness of the VARK Model Learning Style and its impact on participants’ achievement in an online Laudato Si module in Cagayan de Oro’s Archdiocese Catechetical Ministry. Using diagnostic and achievement test results, the researcher determined if this method improved learning performance. The data was categorized, tabulated, and analyzed using the mean, standard deviation, and t-test. Mean and standard deviation were used to compare control and experimental groups, and the t-test was used to compare pretest and posttest scores. Both groups improved after completing the online module. As a result, the experimental group outperformed the control group. The control group’s pre- and post-tests differ significantly. Mean and standard deviation differed significantly for the experimental group. Although, the differences in scores between the control and experimental groups are not statistically significant. Identifying their learning style aided the experimental group in comprehending the module that appeared in the data. Overall, VARK Model Learning Style participants improved. The experimental group performed better the control.

ABSTRACT
The Lasallian Volunteer Program (LSVP) provides opportunities to Lasallian volunteers to directly engage in educational ministry and community organizing, particularly in the impoverished areas in the Philippines. LSVP volunteers have different backgrounds, expectations, skills, and training while working in stressful situations that affect not only their ministry but the different aspects of their personal lives and well-being. Thus, this phenomenological study provided a description of the experiences of nine LSVP Volunteers assigned in Bataan, Iligan, and Samar communities and identified the possible implications of their experiences to their personal well-being. Following Moustakas’ suggestions of doing phenomenological study, five themes were identified: namely, challenges, community life, sense of purpose, happiness, and transformation. Among these themes, sense of purpose was central in their experiences. It is the source of the volunteers’ commitment to their mission and pushed them forward despite all the challenges and difficulties and provides meaning and joy to what they are doing that eventually led them towards a process of transformation as Lasallian volunteers. Spirituality and community life were also highlighted in their experiences. Finally, this study recommends revisiting the existing program and provide a permanent leader who can focus on the program and look after the welfare of the volunteers.
